Acne is caused by the dirt packed under your skin because the skin secrets oils and the particles of dirt stick to epidermis; this is what acne means in a layman’s language. Even a dermatologist would say that it take times time to cure this skin affliction. It is mostly seen in teenagers and adolescents occurring on their face, neck, back and shoulders. It is a miserable condition which makes you conscious and embarrassed about your skin. Though with the advancement of technology we have laser treatment for acne in India but before going for one, you can go through these simple and quick home remedies to get that gorgeous and smooth skin once again.
CINNAMON AND HONEY – ANTI ACNE MASK
They are great together when it comes to treating acne at home and is a common home remedy advised by our ancestors. It fastens the healing process and prevents infections.
Apply this mixture before going to bed and wash your face thoroughly with cold in the morning as honey is sticky, this will reduce the inflammation because of the antibiotic properties of honey.
FRESHEN UP WITH PAPAYA
A refreshing home remedy which will leave your skin soft and smoother by removing dead skin and excess oil from the epidermis. It has certain enzymes and Vitamin A which prevents formation of the pus.
You can mash the papaya into a thick consistent paste. Apply it for 15-20 minutes and wash your face with warm water. Use a moisturizer, if you find your skin dry after its use.
APPLY SOME ICE AND LEMON JUICE
Ice is best cooling agent which improves blood circulation and can reduce swelling and redness. You can wrap an ice cube in cotton cloth and apply it on affected area. After using ice, one can also apply few drops of lemon juice overnight to get rid of acne. It is a citric fruit that is rich in Vitamin C and has astringent which help acne to dry up quickly. It is not recommended for sensitive skin.
SODIUM BICARBONATE (Baking Soda)
It is an ingredient mostly found in Indian kitchens, other than its use in bakery products it removes dirt and excess oil from the surface of skin. It helps in skin exfoliation with the ability to fight against bacteria and fungus.
Combine a teaspoon of baking soda with some water, lemon juice or coconut oil. Apply it for few minutes and wash your face with warm water and repeat the process for few days for quick results.
It unblocks the pores and wipes out the excess oil clearing the dead skin cells preventing further outbreaks. It is best remedy for skin care with anti-bacterial properties.
TEA TREE OIL
Use a cotton ball to dab the mixture of Tea tree oil and Aloe Vera gel on the affected area for approximately 20 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. It can even help blackheads and whiteheads to dry out.
